 IN HIM REALITIES 2

Memory Verse:  1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption”

To know Christ is to know the Christian.

Our identity is Christ.

Our personality is Christ.

Our character is Christ.

To properly know yourself, you must properly know Christ.

Christ is the prototype of the new creation. He is the first of a new race of men. The God -kind of men. The God-class of men.

“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence”. Colossians 1:17-18

Romans 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren”

What is a prototype? It is the design from which every other thing created arises from. If a car manufacturer wanted to make a new kind of car. He first makes a prototype. The prototype determined what is present in the mass produced cars. To know the prototype is to know the others. Well, Christ is the first of our new race.

Whatever we cannot say about Christ we must never say about the believer.

For example, there is exceeding great power at work in the believer! What’s the magnitude? It’s the same that was at work when Christ was raised from the dead.

See here!

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” Ephesians 1:19-20

The same power is at work in us and at work for us.

The Christian therefore cannot be described as powerless.

He has power.

Just as Christ has power.

So let’s keep our eyes on Jesus. The more we know him, the more we know ourselves!

CONFESSION: I know who I am. I am as Christ is. I am being transformed daily. My life is an expression of the life of Christ.
