The Force of Faith
Ephesians 2:4-8
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Many believers normally struggle with the concept of faith. I have always found out that whenever there is struggle, there is a knowledge gap. Where you have abundance of light and revelation, there is always speed and efficiency. Most believers are taught to try to get faith, to pray to build faith, to study to get faith. This in itself is inaccurate because the believer already has faith. It is important for us to understand that the faith of God is actually a gift of Christ. It has been freely given to every man who is in Christ Jesus.
In Romans 12:3, For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
We are told about the measure of faith. Notice he didn’t say a measure of faith or some measure of faith, it says “the” measure of faith (definite article). This presupposes to us that the same faith has been given to every believer in Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
We are shown that we have received the same spirit of faith.
A believing spirit and a speaking spirit. We believe God’s word, so we declare it. The christian should never ask for faith. If you study the epistles properly, you will find that it was never a prayer point. Paul never prayed for the christian to have faith because the christian already has faith. However, the christian’s faith can be ineffectual or impotent if he lacks accurate spiritual knowledge from God’s word. So no matter what you face in life, understand this truth; you have within you the faith of God that moves mountain. Release it through speaking.
Confession: I have the Spirit of faith, I am a believer, I am a talker. I release God’s power through my words and I get results all the time.
