In our Christian walk there is one quality we must always express fully and that is LOVE. Love is the bond of Christian perfection.

What is love?

There is a difference between human love and divine love. The love of God is the highest kind of love because it is selfless and sacrificial and never needy.

It is the Greek word “agape”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

So here we see God loved (agape) the world of sinners that he gave his son to die for their sins!

God’s love gives and never stops giving. He gives because giving is who he is. He gives without an ulterior motive.

This is God.

He is love.

Jesus is the full manifestation of God’s love. Jesus is love in 3D! He is love speaking, walking, healing, forgiving and blessing.

Jesus is perfect love manifested.

And Jesus exemplified love by giving his ultimate – his life.

John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Love gives.

Love is the complete and composite representation of who God is because God is love!

1 John 4:8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”.

The awesome thing about God’s love is that he loved us first. He loved us before we even knew of him. He loved us before we did anything good or bad. He loved us and still loves us!

1 John 4:9 “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”

Our love for him is because of his love for us. Our love for others is based on his love for us. We have the capacity in Christ to love like God loves because we have received the Spirit of God in the new birth.

Hence the fruit of that new birth is love!

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust there of”

We are sons and daughters of the love of God that paid the ultimate price for the sins of fallen men.

The love of God has range!

The love of God paid for the sins of Abel and the sins of Hitler!

That love is in your spirit!

So you are a creature of love.

You are born of love.

You have the capacity to love the undeserving.

You have the capacity to see beauty where all see ugliness and contempt.

See through the eyes of your new nature, your love nature!

See through love’s eyes.

CONFESSION: I am a creature of love. I see through the eyes of love, I relate with the eyes of love. I have immense capacity to love. Amen!
