UNTO EVERYONE OF YOU

MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 4:7 “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ”

Every believer has been given an empowerment to function. There is no useless believer neither is there any believer who doesn’t have something to work with. Apostle Paul in describing the church many at times explained her using the term “body”. We are called the body of Christ 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular”. If you study the human body, we find that it is made up of different parts working as a whole. We have different systems, for example Nervous system, cardiovascular system etc. every single member of the body, every single system is necessary to make sure the body is able to perform all its functions. There is no part of the body that is useless neither is there any part of the body that has not been designed to suit a particular purpose. If any member or system in the human body fails to perform its role or function, the whole body falls ill and death may result. Now the human body has some vital organs like the brain, kidney, liver, heart and the pancreas that are central to the body’s function. Without these vital organs, the coordination of the human body is not possible yet if one small cell or the smallest of the human toes doesn’t do its job, wholeness in the body is not possible. I have said all that to say this. You don’t have to be a pastor (vital organ) to be important. If you are a member of the body of Christ, you have been designed by God to fulfill a particular purpose.

You have received grace to fulfill this purpose; you have received the Holy Spirit without measure to fulfill this purpose. Without you, the body of Christ may not experience the fullness and wholeness that has been destined for her to experience. Until each and every one of us comes to the fullness of all we have been designed by God to do, we are going to be robbing each other of the blessing of wholeness.

CONFESSION: I am a member of the body of Christ, a useful member, a vital member. I have received grace to minister; I have received grace to edify, to build and to nourish. I am a vital member of the body of Christ.
