Memory verse: Romans 10:17 “ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”

We are lucky in this dispensation to have different formats wherewith we can receive the word of God. We have the video format, Mp3 etc. we even have the opportunity of having the word of God on your phones. This is a wonderful opportunity to continually saturate yourself with the word of God. Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”

Meditation has to do with turning something over and over in your mind and to mutter those things under your breathe. This means that when you meditate on the word of God, you are engaging your senses. You engage your eyes to read, your mouth to speak or confess and you engage your ears to hear that which you speak. By engaging your senses with the word of God, you are ensuring that you will walk according to what you see, hear, speak and feel.

So I want to present a practical way you can do this. Why don’t you get series of messages that are Christ centered and grace filled into your laptop, your phones, your Ipad, your Ipod and develop a pattern of listening to those messages everyday and every night. Don’t just listen to them once, listen until the word get into your inner man. Listen until the revelation in the message gets into your spirit. Don’t waste the time in the traffic if you are driving to work, have messages you listen to as you drive and do the same when you are returning back home. The more you surround yourself with God’s word, you will find that every day you are becoming a better, temptations are not as difficult and as alluring as they used to be. The circle of arbitual sinning that you previously struggled with will become a thing of the past. The word has taken over your life.

So every day and every night, listen listen, do not stop listening for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks

CONFESSION: I submit my senses to the word of God; I give myself daily to the ministry of God’s word. As I do, I declare that I am built and edified. I declare that I am getting better and better in Jesus name. Amen
